Boat Safety

Every boat should have the following items:

1.) It is suggested and in some areas required that you have a PFD (personal flotation device for every person onboard the boat).
2.) It is also suggested that you have a throwable PFD available in the event someone falls overboard.
3.) It is suggested that you have a working whistle on board. Whistles can also be attached to PFD's. (Be sure the whistle works if it gets wet)
4.) Flares are also helpful to have on board in the event of an emergency.
5.) Fire extinguishers are also recommended to be kept on board
