Pet Poison Prevention Tips:

- Never leave chocolate unattended. Chocolate is poisonous to dogs
- If a product says to use on dogs, do not use it on cats.
- Many common household items can be lethal to animals. Mothballs, coffee grounds, play dough, fabric softner, cigarettes, and dishwashing detergent, can all be harmful to pets.
- Automotive products such as gasoline, and antifreeze should be inaccessible to your pets.
- Read all information on the label before using a product on your pet.
- Numerous plants are poisonous to animals including azalea, easter lily, and oleander.
- Do not leave pets in a house when "fogging" or "bug bombing".
- Keep pets off of lawns or gardens treated with fertilizers, or insecticides. Be sure to read and heed warning labels.
- Do not use "human" medications for animals. Some medications can be lethal to pets.
